1^st Annual VSRA Workforce ‘EL2A” Committee meeting.

Focusing on Entry Level to Apprentice (EL2A) Ship Repair Trades Development

VSRA has worked diligently to create collaborative working groups that focus on creating workforce development solutions which benefit the ship repair industry. In June of 2013 we held our first symposium where 23 member companies worked on prioritizing initiatives where VSRA could have a positive impact. The VSRA Board of Directors acted upon this in their 2014 Strategic Plan to stand up a permanent Workforce Committee. The upcoming meeting on December 4^th will accomplish the following:

 Establish a formal committee structure: Chairperson and Meeting Schedule

1. Report on progress made in the priority areas established at the 2013 Symposium and Quarterly follow-up meetings.
2. Reveal challenge and success areas in current initiatives
3. Discuss solutions, priorities for 2015
4. Set next meeting date, time and location
